Guest blog with Lisa Whiteman of Whiteman Soho

Now's the time for clients to start thinking about a new look! Here Lisa Whiteman breaks down her favourite SS19 trends.

Soft Reds
Soft copper/strawberry tones will be super-hot this year, whether they're used with a balayage as a technique or as a stand-alone all-over tone. Using a demi-permanent colour which will naturally fade is a fantastic way to kick off the season for those who want to try something new. Redheads have been kept in the shadows for too long and if your client has the right skin tone for this look I highly recommend giving it a try. Choose the level and shade wisely; I love using Goldwell's Elumen as it guarantees healthy shine without having to use peroxide at all.

Watercolour Hair
Pastels are still bang-on trend and spring is a great time to play for anyone who fancies some multi-tonal action. There's minimal damage to the hair with the watercolour trend, as the direct dye is added to warm water and the hair will soak up different tones depending on the different levels. This is ideal for toning blondes for a temporary colour upgrade service.
Read the summer issue of our magazine to see Lisa recreate the watercolour look just for us!

Blunt
Blunt bobs in varying lengths are set to be big this season. It's the perfect on-trend haircut to really celebrate a new season. For clients who've been wearing an over-processed balayage for a few years and want to start afresh, this is a gorgeous option. It's current, stylish and daring but still feminine and easy to manage, whether worn curly or straight.
