During our VAT Free sales you'll still be charged VAT (it's the law!), however the total amount you pay for your order will be as if you haven't paid the VAT. For example, if a product cost €100.00 (excluding VAT), the total when we charge VAT at the basket would be €123.00.
However, during our VAT Free promotions we would discount the price of this product to €81.30, making the total of the basket €100.00 when the VAT is added.
The VAT Free (equivalent) discount is 18.70%, and is applied to the pre-VAT price of the goods.
Please see example basket screenshots below showing the difference between an order without the VAT Free discount and the same order with the discount applied. The total amount to pay is now the same as the subtotal prior to the discount being applied.
