Do I need to be a professional in the hair or beauty industry to shop with Capital Hair & Beauty?

Welcome to Capital Hair & Beauty! As a trade-only supplier, we are dedicated to providing high-quality products to professionals in the hair and beauty industry.

In order to make a purchase from our website, you must be qualified in the hair or beauty profession and competent in using the products you are purchasing. Please note that we will not be held responsible for any injury or damages that may occur as a result of using our products.

To shop in one of our stores, you will need to provide proof of your professional status in the hair or beauty industry, as well as a valid form of identification. Acceptable forms of proof include a salon business card and a letter from a solicitor or accountant, a third-party insurance certificate, a course completion certificate, a student enrolment letter stating course dates, a trade reference or buying card from another hair and beauty trade supplier, or a business cheque book or business credit card. Acceptable forms of identification include a driving licence, a utility bill, or a passport.

Can I make changes to my order after it has been placed?

Unfortunately, it is generally not possible to make changes to an order after it has been placed. This is because most orders are processed almost immediately and our systems are not set up to allow for changes to be made once an order has begun processing.

If you need to make any changes to your order, please contact our customer service team by phone at 061-294580 as soon as possible. They will do their best to accommodate your request, but please be aware that it may not always be possible to make changes to an order once it has been placed. We recommend double-checking your order before placing it to ensure that it is correct and contains all of the items that you need.

What should I do if I am missing an item or if a product has arrived damaged?

We apologise for any issues you may have experienced with your order. If you are missing an item or if a product has arrived damaged, please contact our customer service team by phone at 061-294580. They will be happy to assist you in arranging for a replacement to be sent out to you as soon as possible.

In most cases, we are able to dispatch a replacement next day, as long as we are notified by 2:30pm and subject to stock availability. Please have your order number ready when you call so that we can quickly and easily identify your order and resolve the issue for you. We strive to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction, and we will do our best to ensure that your issue is resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible

I have a VAT-free discount, but I'm still being charged VAT. Why is that?

VAT, or value-added tax, is a tax applied to the sale of goods and services in the United Kingdom. During a VAT-free sale, we offer a discount on our products to make up for the cost of the VAT that would normally be charged. This means that the final price you pay is the same as the normal selling price of the product, but without the VAT added on.

For example, if a product normally sells for €100.00 (excluding VAT), the total you would normally pay is €120.00 (including VAT). During a VAT-free sale, we discount the price down to €83.33 (excluding VAT), so the total you pay is €100.00 (including VAT), which is the same as the normal selling price but without the VAT.

It's important to note that while VAT is not charged during a VAT-free sale, the law still requires that VAT be collected and reported to the government. However, the discount we offer effectively covers the cost of the VAT. We hope this helps to clarify how VAT-free sales work.
