Three ultra bright Summer nail trends

Summer’s in full swing, so make sure you've got an array of styles to suit your clients’ holiday moods – especially if they’re not planning on leaving the country!

Tribal

What we love most about the tribal nail trend is that it’s a full-on mash-up of several other trends; it’s brights, neons, stripes and geometric patterns all in one.  For inspiration look at the fashion trends available on the high street; kaftans, long flowing skirts and dresses, and palazzo pants have been made-over with oversize tribal prints for a distinctly ethnic Summer vibe. When it comes to colour, don’t be afraid to use black and white as a crisp background for neon yellows and pinks.

Stripes

Striped nail styles are always in fashion, but come Summer the camp splits into two very distinct trends: nautical or geometric. Nautical stripes tend to come in white, navy and red; think retro bathing suits with block colours striped with crisp white, in a variety of thicknesses. For the geometric stripe, anything goes – play with ombre, bright tones such as coral and jade green or go as complicated as you like with multiple stripes in a variety of brights.

Tropical

Tropical is one of those trends where you can go kitsch, sophisticated or downright cheesy – pineapples and palm trees included! Think 50s posters and Hawaiian prints or go more high-end with exotic plants and flowers. Colour is a must here, although black makes for a great silhouette against the most vibrant of shades.
