Why we've fallen in love with this Revlon collection

A fresh take on the classics, this collection from Revlon is all about blending, mixing and improving. Based on the premise of two timeless looks, each bride is the epitome of sophistication.
First, there’s the forties look; presented here as a modern take on the Victory roll. Stylist Bozena Sarek was inspired by the catwalk’s love for rolls and twists, and the perfect complement to the look she created, is of course, a classic red lip, enhanced with a feline flick. But this season’s red lip isn’t about chalky, dramatic or retro matte tones; instead lips are coated with pretty, iridescent tones of cherry, berry and mauve, making for a more 3D, more kissable pout.

The romantic bride, created by stylist Ziortza Zarauza, is far more whimsical; the hair is twisted, pulled, shaped and ruffled, into shapes that resemble delicate flowers and wispy, ribbon-like tendrils. This is a look you can really be inspired by when it comes to your brides that have wavy or long hair, as there is no strict style to follow. For this classic bride’s makeup, think about highlighting her natural beauty. Eyes are smokey, perhaps with a touch of eyeliner, while cheeks are enhanced with a sweep of raspberry or peach for that all-important glow. Again, when it comes to the lips, matte formulas are out, and sheer tones are in. Think warm nudes and slightly shimmering flesh-toned pinks that glide on with a touch of gloss.

Don’t forget, we’re always on the look-out for beautiful bridal imagery, so whether you’re sharing your work on Twitter or Instagram, tag us with #capitalhair so we can find you and we’ll share or retweet our faves!
